Question: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are evolving rapidly, and top companies like OpenAI and Google look for skills beyond traditional academic curricula. What advice would you give to recent tech graduates who haven’t been deeply exposed to AI/ML during their education, to prepare them for the growing demands of the field?
Answer: It is Very Intesting Question. Because this is encountered by several engineers now-a-days.
Here, we should know certain economics about the IT industry. That is, as on 2025, Global IT Industry is worth around $5.8 trillion. Out of it, Artificial Intelligence market is hardly $75 billion. That is, AI/ML market is around 1.3% of entire global IT market.
Here, my advise would be, unless, one has specific technical competency, specific knowledge of AI/ML, it is best practice to choose the area, what the candidate knows. Otherwise AI/ML competency requies more accuracy, perfection, reliability of outcomes. Why I am saying this is, For example, AI/ML as an application, if it is used in Robots, Our Programming Output should be to the Precision and Exact. That is the reason, if one does not have the needed competency/knowledge in AI/ML, Choose the area where One has the competency: for example: Analytics, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Web Development, E-commerce, Digitization, Enterprise Integration, CRM, SCM, ERP, salesforce, Logistics, and other Scientific computing or research. Because of these reasons Lets us Pursue What we know, what we have interest, what we understand.
Global Economy is Worth $100 trillion. It comprises 100s of Industries. Which need Diversified Skill Set in all domains.
Examples: Manufacturing, Automobile industry, BFSI, Infrastrcuture, Traditional Retail Industry need different skill set.
Traditional/Outlet based Physical Retail is not going to go away; because shopping is a more of social activity which human beings don't want to get away with it atleast for time being.
